Welcome to Make it Good!

Make it Good works through partnerships, networks and knowledge sharing.

Make it Good, a social-profit organization, addresses the barriers and challenges that exist for individuals and organizations as they work towards greater sustainability. We confront these barriers and challenges by working collaboratively to change the systems that keep us disconnected from a sustainable society.

Make it Good facilitates and supports wise action. We create a space for thoughtful dialogue where people can come together to better understand the challenges that affect our communities and to uncover the possibilities and opportunities that exist to move beyond them.

Our approach is integrative; we connect individuals and groups across sectors to provide the customized tools, processes and resources that community leaders require to create positive change.

There is no coordinating instrument that supports and promotes these activities and Make It Good aims to fill that role.

What we do

Make it Good brings professionals together to vision, craft and commit to facilitating and stewarding the evolution of environmental, economic, and cultural sustainability.  Make it Good defines sustainability as our ability or capacity to endure.  We look at how we can resolve the 3 pillars of sustainability which include: the environment, the economy and the community (also referred to as the social) over the long term.

How we do we do this?

Make it Good offers engaging and thought provoking events that are designed to:

  • Inform individuals and organizations about integrating sustainability as a business practice through learning-based activities
  • Connect like-minded individuals using face-to-face gatherings and online networking
  • Evolve sustainability as a leadership practice through mentorship, membership, and volunteerism

Why do we do this?

Sustainability is important to Make it Good because we believe the choices we pursue and all the actions that we make today will affect everything in the future. We need to make sound decisions in the present in order to avoid limiting the choices of generations to come.

Make it Good believes:

  • Sustainability is achieved through collective education and mobilization
  • Critical thinking about sustainability will result in new solutions to old and new issues
  • Business leaders play a "change-agent" role in creating sustainable communities
