Change the World by 5:15

Andrew Davison and Kevin Franco at the Change the World by 5:15 Summer Challenge.

Change the World by May 2015, is an ambitious but fun thought, especially when we put our superhero costumes on (cue evil laugh). Change the World by 5:15 is a program aimed at challenging current and future entrepreneurs and business leaders to make one sustainable change to their business each quarter. The program has three components: our spotlight interviews, our community projects for university students and our one-of-a-kind organization field trips!

Spotlight Interviews

Make it Good in partnership with SIFE Calgary is interviewing business and community leaders to find out what efforts they are already making to bring about resilient and sustainable change. From their successes to their struggles, from new environmental products to unique governance structures, Spotlight Interviews are simply about shining a light on some of the most innovative and interesting activities that are already going on in our community.

Community Projects for University Students

Make it Good in partnership with REAP, the Haskayne School of Business, and Thrive are working to provide experiential community projects for undergraduate and graduate students as part of their existing courses.  This opportunity not only benefits the community at large, it is also a hands-on real-life application of concepts learned in the classroom.  For more information about this project please contact Tamara McCarron.

Field Trips

As we endeavour to "Change the World by 5:15" we aim to challenge current and future entrepreneurs and business leaders to make one sustainable change to their business or lifestyle each quarter. Who do this by providing participants with opportunities to network, collaborate and share all while touring an organization for an unique behind the scenes tour of their facility or operation.  This intimate and informative session provides opportunities to witness sustainability in action and aims to promote real and lasting change.
