Free the Children's annual signature event that celebrates the power of young people to change the world. We Day is the largest event of its kind, bringing together tens of thousands of youth and educators with celebrities, musicians and heroes sharing their inspirational stories in save cities across Canada this year: Toronto, Vanouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Waterloo, Ottawa and Montreal.
On October 24th, 2012 Free the Children is excited to nring the first ever We Day Calgary to the Saddledome. We Day Alberta will launch a year-long program of social action - We 365 - for youth to earn their way back to We Day 2013 through commitment to social action both locally and globally. We Day is not just an event - it's a movement.
Founded in 1995 by international child rights activist Craig Kielburger, Free the Children has engaged with more than one million youth through their innovative education and development programs in 45 countries. Leveraging over 15 years experience working with young people, Free the Children has learned how to best engage with and activate you to drive change.
Make it Good will be involved in helping to organize this event locally. Thousands of volunteers are need to run the event and we will update folks as things progress.
